You must have went through the horrible monsters, so I'm sure you're pretty good; be proud. But my concern is not about these monsters.

Have you ever seen moss growing out of a hardened bark-like skin? Have you ever seen twisted roots growing from someone's stomach, or branches extruding out of a mouth?
