This is a record of Cage's life and advice for the future generation.
Cage was born from a rich family, and had enjoyed opulent life. Then the boy grew up to be a gambler and an alcoholic, wasting away his family fortune. When he lost everything, he went to see his mother. But all he found was his already passed away mother's last letter. "My dear son, I'm sorry that I could not see you before I leave. I have nothing to give you but my necklace. Keep it close, it might protect you."
Cage shed some tear, but soon he decided to sell the necklace for another card game or two. But merchants were not interested in the necklace. So he tried to sell it on the street, but ran into his debtor and was beat up. Cage begged the man for more time, and the debtor offered him a choice.
"Go to Nebula Island and bring me treasure. If you succeed, your debt will be paid in full, and I will even reward you." There was no choice. Cage went to the island with other graverobbers. The sea breeze filled him with a new hope, that everything might work out fine.
But the island was different from his imagination. It was a place filled with monsters and death; his team was attacked by monsters, and he had to flee by himself. When he couldn't run anymore, he heard voices. Cage followed the voices to ask for help, but people he found were hunters who were there only for the treasure. They jumped on him, and Cage ran again. Then he lost consciousness in the middle of an Orc village.
When he woke up, an Orc shaman was looking down on him. Cage thought he was going to die, but the shaman pointed at his necklace.
"Where did you get the necklace?" Cage said it was from his father. The shaman grew curious, and told him a story.
Ten years ago, he found an injured human and helped him without telling his tribe. Then when his village was attacked by Arkeum Legion, the human came back and fought against Arkeum to help Orcs.
The Orcs finally won the battle, and the Orc village chief gave the human a necklace as a gift for his valor.
Cage realized that his father had a special tie with this Orc tribe. This necklace was not a simple accessory, but a symbol of friendship and trust. Cage's father saved the Orc shaman, and in turn, the shaman saved cage to leave the island safely.
This event changed Cage forever. He reflected on his shameful past, and swore to walk a new path.
While keeping the lesson his father has taught him close to his heart.
