Cohen's Last Book 1

There used to be a rumor among adventurers that Solisium royalty hid something precious in the Nebula Island. And I didn't overlook them as a mere gossip, because of the story of Balogan, an old man I happened to meet on the street.

Balogan used to be a famous builder, and always talked about horrors he witnessed when he was working at Nebula Island. At first I thought it was a senile old man's blabber, but his story was oddly specific and coherent.

So I, Cohen, decided to follow his story to Nebula Island, which was a natural thing to do for a renowned travel writer. I even found the worker's lodging Balogan told me, and its front yard was filled with old neglected tombstones.

When I was sketching the yard and tombstones, a woman approached me and begged me to help her finding her child. I felt it was strange, but the woman seemed desperate and I couldn't refuse her.

Cohen's Last Book 2

She sad the child must have fallen asleep among tombstones, so I went out to search. But what I found was a small pile of bones. When I talked to the woman again, she sobbed and began to tell me a story:

Her husband used to be a famous builder. One day, he was summoned by the king to Nebula Island for some project, and she never heard from him again. So the woman went to the island with her child to find her husband. But all she did find was an abandoned lodging and weird tombstones around the house. She got scared and try to leave, but lost her way in the fog and perished with her child at the end.

Then the woman disappeared. I made a sketch of her face in my journal, and went back to Balogan. I explained Balogan what happened on the island, and when I showed him the drawing, he cried. He said it was her wife.

Cohen's Last Book 3

I wrote a book about Balogan family, as a way of showing my condolences to them. But for some unknown reason, my publication was banned.

I smelled something fish about it, so I changed my name and left home. Years passed, and when I was staring to think about going back home, I heard the news that Balogan has passed away.

When I went to his funeral, people who recognized my face told me about Balogan. One of these stories was that Balogan was very thorough in hiding his past. I realized that he would have never told me about Nebula Island if he didn't go senile.

In the end, I completely gave up on going back to my home. And what happened to me at the Nebula Island, I would never forget.
