What keeps me going is the lament for my husband and burning rage against the Arkeum Legion.
The dim moonlight lit the map on the desk. This island on this map took my husband's life. My hands shook as I picked up the map. Regrets and rage poured in as I remember the fateful day.
When Solisium fell to the Arkeum Legion, I pledged allegiance to Reville in order to protect Nebula Island, the island where royal treasure was hidden, from the invaders.
But they soon discovered documents of Nebula Island from the secret royal library, and my feigned loyalty was found out as well. They tortured me to gain more information, but I never gave up. The treasure hidden in the island was very destructive magical relics that even the Savior of the Kingdom who actually found them forbade to use. If Arkeum Legion found the treasure, it would certainly destroy Solisium for good.
But then they brought my husband. There was blood all over him, and his eyes were desperate. "Tell us where the island is, or witness your husband suffer the most horrifying death." Arkeums threatened me.
There was no way out. I told them where the island was, believing that it was the only way to save my husband. Arkeum soldiers laughed. "Good. Now, this is the price you pay for betraying Master Reville."
Then they killed my husband. All I could do was watch him dying.
That night, I escaped the prison, swearing revenge. Then I joined the Resistance, and started an expedition to find the relic hidden in the Nebula Island.
I put down the map. My duty was to find the relic before Arkeum does, and destroy them with its power. I would never rest until the day comes.
